At Medakafix, our name combines "Medaka" with "fixation," reflecting our commitment to achieving high fixation rates in medaka strains. We started by selling medaka eggs primarily through eBay and have now expanded to our own website. Based in North Carolina, our mission is to promote healthy, high-quality medaka across the United States.

We take pride in our parent medaka, which are homebred outdoors in NC and photographed by us—ensuring authenticity and transparency. Our fish originate from renowned Japanese breeders, guaranteeing superior reliability and lineage preservation. Our sister company, SNRMedaka.us, specializes in selling live fish, so feel free to visit us at your convenience.

Our Commitment to Quality

1️⃣ Respecting Traditional Traits & Breeder Authenticity
We deeply value the original traits of each medaka strain as defined by their breeders. Experienced fish keepers will understand that maintaining quality requires careful culling. Fish that do not meet our strict lineage standards may be sold as Mixed Sets or Lame (Rame) Sets, but even these are always healthy—we never sell fish with deformities such as bent spines.

2️⃣ No Price Negotiations
Our pricing reflects not only the quality of our fish but also the time, effort, and expertise involved in raising them. If we have an abundance of a particular strain, we may offer discounts, but we kindly ask that customers do not request price negotiations. It is disheartening to hear, as each fish is raised with great care and dedication.
